Paschal
The St.LAwrence River is fully operational from the sea up to Montreal all winter. It is only the part from Montreal onward to Great Lakes that is closed dow due to ice. The reason for this is that the lock system can not operate with ice around the gates as it will be too much damage to them caused by the ice pressure as ships are passing. Also to open and close these doors will be impossible. To ship yor project cargo to Becancour in the winter would therefor be no problem for you.
Good luck with your project!

We sale and distribute CanSeal tape which is a heavy duty hatch sealing tape that is manufactured in Canada. We believe it has an extraordinary strength, adhesion and is extremely flexible compared to others in the market. It comes in Strips if 1,22 mtr and rolles of 20 mtr - width of 4" & 6".

If lifeboats were motor cars they'd have been taken off the roads years ago for the mix of bad design, poor training and poor maintenance that have made them one of the biggest killers of seafarers. Free fall lifeboat also have problems, including some really appalling design. There is considerable debate in the industry whether or not lifeboats should be used at all and their replacement with liferafts have a lot of support. Indeed, it may well be that the reason one rarely sees people being rescued in lifeboats is that the mater has refused to use them on the grounds of safety.
